Description
Ogbono (also known as African Wild Mango seeds or Apon) is the primary ingredient used to make Ogbono Soup, a famous Nigerian “draw soup.” Unlike Egusi, which is grainy, Ogbono is prized for its mucilaginous (slippery/stretchy) texture, similar to okra, which helps “swallow” foods like Fufu or Pounded Yam slide down easily.
